Join us on this amazing opportunity to photography the greatest wildlife spectacles that Eastern North Carolina has to offer – wild horses and waterfowl. And who better to team up with than Doug Gardner, world renowned professional wildlife photographer and host of the television series Wild Photo Adventures.
When it comes to photographing waterfowl in Eastern North Carolina, we take a slightly different approach than many other workshop leaders. You wont find any roadside photography on this trip. This is a full immersion into the real world of wildlife photography. We will teach you the ins and outs of what it takes to get close, stay concealed, and fill up memory cards. Don’t be surprised if this workshop edges you out of your comfort zone, but don’t be surprised if you have the time of your life either.
Thinking back to last years Wild Horse and Waterfowl workshop, I just can’t help from getting lost in the moment at sunrise when some 5,000 swans came gliding in from all directions, landing in the water just feet in front of us. Nor will I ever forget one participants response after photographing wild horses as they charged full speed through sand dunes, only to have two stallions turn and raise up in battle royal at the top of a dune, the endless blue ocean in the back. “I think I need a beer and a cigarette after that,” was his response – still shaking from the adrenaline of finding himself right in the midst of all the action.
We are offering two different workshops with this one. The first is a two day trip split evenly between the wild horses and waterfowl. The second is 3 days of shooting. On both trips, both lodging and meals are included with the price.
